Meet the lucky finalists—and winner—of our 4th Annual Pet Contest.
Those big, brown eyes. That velvety-soft fur. All those sweet little expressions. All the entrants in this year’s contest—as in previous ones—were simply so cute and engaging that it seemed impossible to pick just 10 as best. But with your help (close to 600 votes), we have our finalists: the Westchester pets with the most animal magnetism. Among them, you’ll meet a dog rescued from a puppy mill and nursed back from near death, a bunny who loves to dance, a Lab who helps care for an ill canine sibling, and a trio of frisky ferrets, adopted from a rescue shelter, who also like to hit the dance floor. All 10 are sure to delight—while capturing your heart—but, alas, only one is the winner. That lucky dog is Bogart, a 6-year-old Goldendoodle, with a penchant for belly rubs, porterhouse steak, and “investigating” Christmas presents.
Thank you to all who entered and voted. And congratulations and a special thanks to all our fabulous models—and the humans who love them (and who served as their “voices” on the following pages).
