White Plains Dentist Sent Insurance Company $13,000 in Fake Bills

Dr. Joanne Baker, a White Plains dentist and Scarsdale resident, was arraigned yesterday on charges of grand larceny, insurance fraud, scheme to defraud, and more—all stemming from a two-year scam in which she allegedly created phoney medical records and billed MetLife for $13,000 of dental work she never performed. According to prosecutors, she pocked $9,000 from the scheme.
