White Plains CEO Pleads Guilty to ID Theft

Sure, they say desperate times call for desperate measures—but one Westchester businessman took it a step too far.

Faced with financial woes at his computer firm, Terrence Chalk, the 47-year-old chief executive officer of Compulinx Managed Services—who was ironically named “Business Person of the Year” by the Westchester chapter of his fraternity in 2006—pleaded guilty to stealing his employees’ identities to secure loans in order to keep his business afloat. Between 2001 and 2006, he illegally used others’ names for $1 million in loans, according to federal prosecuters.
