Where to Connect (For Free)

Need to be connected to the Web while you’re out and about?  We put together a list of free Wi-Fi hotspots around Westchester so that your laptop can be wired at all times.

When the Internet on my new MacBook wouldn’t work through the wireless connection at my house, the helpful people at Apple suggested I try and connect from an outside source. I happily obliged, thinking I could simply head to the nearest Starbucks for a free wireless connection. Wrong. While Starbucks does offer WiFi, you have to call T-Mobile (or other local provider) to set up an account first. No thanks. After heading to a few other spots and coming up empty-handed, I decided a little research was necessary. Below, where to find free WiFi in and around the county.
