The Spirited Thief
{Ricochet}
(Full Name: Socorro Tao Spirited Aries Ricochet)
A 1-year-old male Beagle
His human: Lorraine A. Socorro of Yonkers
Significance of his name: Tao represents our journey in life; Spirited because he has a tremendous spirit, is strong, and always so happy; Aries because he was born in April; and Ricochet because he zips around so fast like the cartoon character, Ricochet Rabbit. Nickname: Ricky. Ten-second commercial: I am lucky to be owned by one amazing Beagle. He is the most lovable, mischievous, clever, and all-around cuddly fur baby ever. He knows: When I’m having a bad day, and is able to break that mood with a quirky look, a paw on my lap, or a soft nuzzle against my neck. Fave activity: Having me chase him—he takes things he knows are taboo and parades them in front of you, just in case you miss what he is up to. Sleeps at night: Above my head, nestled in pillows, with his paw on my shoulder. Sweetest habit: When he does something he knows he shouldn’t have, he senses I’m upset and apologizes by bringing me his favorite toy. Most annoying habit: He’s a skillful thief whose latest passion is stealing my mail, shoes, socks, and more embarrassingly, my undergarments. On his iPod: Soft rock and classical. Soft rock soothes him to sleep, and classical entertains him with the various instruments played—his head tilts back and forth and sometimes he sings along. Favorite toys: He has three squeaky toys that he carries everywhere, all at the same time—a Skinneeez Rabbit, Lamb Chop, and a lime-green stuffed puppy. Wardrobe consists of: One red coat that he absolutely refuses to wear. Naughtiest thing done so far: Chewed my iPhone’s Bluetooth headset to bits.
