The Westchester Children’s Museum held its ninth annual benefit at The Ritz-Carlton, White Plains, to raise funds to support its Museum Without Walls program, which provides hands-on educational experiences to kids and families. The benefit for the Museum, which is seeking a lease at Rye Playland’s historic North Bathhouse, included a silent auction that offered snazzy items, e.g., an iPad2 and an overnight suite and breakfast package at the Ritz-Carlton Westchester. “The growing success of the Museum Without Walls program demonstrates just how critical the Westchester Children’s Museum will be for the region,” said Executive Eirector Tracy Kay. “Especially as school budgets are slashed, these kinds of opportunities will help to stimulate young minds and educate future leaders. We look forward to providing even more educational and recreational opportunities once the walls of our museum are built.”There was also an after party at 42 The Restaurant, where 10% of all beverage proceeds were donated to the museum.
