Admit it, even though you love the feeling of a home-cooked Thanksgiving meal, a part (a large part?) of you wishes you could duck tradition and have someone else prepare your turkey and sweet potato pie. No problem. Thanks to several Westchester chefs, you can serve your guests a five-star meal without having to peel one potato or chop any onion. From traditional to eclectic, these mouthwatering Thanksgiving-to-go menus will satisfy any palate and guarantee every guy (and gal) at the table will have to undo their top buttons before dessert.

Corner Stone Catering

Maple-glazed, bacon-wrapped scallops. Indonesian coconut shrimp. Pumpkin and butternut squash soup. These are some of the offerings this Thanksgiving from Corner Stone. “Our menus are designed for people who just need help on Thanksgiving,” says Gary Stone. “Some people may make their own mashed potatoes, but then they may not want to spend all that time making cranberry relish.” Corner Stone Catering will not only supply cooked turkeys with stuffing and gravy, for $7.95 per lb., but raw, oven-ready turkeys, for $3.25 per lb. “You can’t tell the difference between the raw and our roasted turkeys,” says Stone. Each dish is sold separately. Order by Saturday, Nov. 22 and pick up the day before Thanksgiving before 6 pm.

Jackson & Wheeler

Looking for the classic American Thanksgiving meal? “Our meal is completely traditional,” assures Jackson & Wheeler owner Michael Trizano. For the fifth year, the restaurant is offering a meal for 10 people for $300. The menu includes a 20-25 lb. turkey, mashed and sweet potatoes, cornbread and sausage stuffing, three veggies, a quart of gravy, and three pies. Meals can be ordered until Sunday, Nov. 23, and can be picked up the day before Thanksgiving.

MacMenamin’s Grill

Chef Brian MacMenamin offers a mean Southern Creole Thanksgiving dinner. His Creole Thanksgiving, one of two choices MacMenamin’s Grill offers for its Thanksgiving-to-go meals, includes a spiced, deep-fried turkey, andouille cornbread stuffing, red-eye gravy, corn jambalaya, and slow braised collard greens. For those seeking a more classic meal, MacMenamin’s Grill offers a New England menu which includes a golden-roasted turkey, sausage stuffing, pan gravy, honey-glazed carrots, and string bean almandine. There are various appetizer options (stuffed mushrooms Florentine, fruit and cheese platters, and shrimp cocktail) and pies (chocolate chip pecan, pumpkin, lemon meringue, and apple). “It’s a real honor for us when people ask us to make their Thanksgiving meals,” MacMenamin says. For a party of 8-10, the meal will cost $235; for 12-20 guests; the tab $335. Be sure to order by Monday, Nov. 24. Meals can be picked up the day before or on Thanksgiving between 4 and 5 pm and 6 and 7 pm.

Plates cooks up farm-fresh birds from Vermont’s Misty Knoll Farms for its Thanksgiving-to-go offerings. “We put in our orders a week before Thanksgiving,” says manager Craig Muraszewski. “It’s a great opportunity for people to get fresh, great turkeys.” Favorite side dishes include the poached cranberry sauce with warm spices and port wine, the stuffing with sausage, sage, and celery, and the sweet potato puree with brown sugar and marshmallow. Customers can either order each dish separately or get the Feast, which feeds 10-12 guests, plus leftovers for $385. Meals should be reserved as close to Thanksgiving as possible for pick-up on Thursday, Nov. 27. The staff is also GLAD to discuss the perfect wine pairing for Thanksgiving meals.

The Ritz Carlton, Westchester

Every family needs a beginning to their traditions, and White Plains’s Ritz Carlton is no exception. For its first Thanksgiving in business, the hotel will begin producing Thanksgiving-to-go meals. The program is popular at other Ritz Carlton locations across the country. Executive Chef James Dangler will put together a menu of classic turkey, potato, stuffing, and cranberry dishes. A meal that feeds 4-6 people will cost $230. For additional couples, the price will go up $80. The menu has not been set in stone, but once it is finalized, families will have the option of customizing their meals. Exact dates of order deadlines and pick-up have not been decided yet.

Rye Country Store

“Our Thanksgiving-to-go meals are just like your grandmother made,” says Rye Country Store’ Claire Rivers. Savory homemade soups such as corn chowder, wild mushroom soup, tomato bisque, and pumpkin and butternut squash are at $10 a quart. Gourmet cranberry sauces, at $6.95/lb., include either brandy, orange peels, and pecans or hazelnut, cinnamon, and cloves. Rye Country Store pairs its fresh, $3.95/lb. turkey with multiple stuffing options. “The most popular is the cornbread and sausage,” Rivers says. Place orders by Saturday, Nov. 22. Meals can either be picked up between 7 am and 7 pm on the day before Thanksgiving or for an extra $10-$20 (depending on location), the Rye Country Store will deliver Thanksgiving right to your doorstep.

“A lot of people like their dinners very traditional, but then we always have things for more adventurous people,” says Susan Lawrence owner Mark Kramer. Among the offerings: miniature whole pumpkins stuffed with butternut squash puree inside ($33 per half dozen); stone crab cocktail claws (serves10-15 people; $83); truffle mushroom brie torte ($11.79); wild porcini mushroom and leek focaccia stuffing ($17.50 /quart) . served with Meyer lemon dipping sauce will serve. Susan Lawrence’s stuffed and garnished fresh turkey that is ready to be home roasted costs $5.95/lb. And for dessert? “We’re known for our pies,” says Kramer. “They are all made limited edition and all are beautifully decorated.” Susan Lawrence allows orders up until Tuesday, Nov. 25 by 3 pm. Pick up is only available on Wednesday the 26th.
