The Shade Store Opens a Showroom in Port Chester

Beautifully dressing a window can be a tricky business—there are just so many styles, fabrics, materials, and decorative options to consider—not to mention the whole measurement thing and the often pricey cost. Fret no more: third-generation fabric and window-treatment experts—brothers Adam, Ian, and Zach Gibbs, and their cousin, Greg Spatz—have launched their sixth shop, the first in Westchester, here in Port Chester. The 5,000-square-foot showroom showcases its exclusive collections, developed in partnerships with such well-regarded names as Maharam, DwellStudio, and Chilewich. Window-treatment experts are on hand to help de-mystify the process. Options include roller, solar, and Roman shades ($170+); drapery ($257+); and wooden, pleated, cellular, and vertical blinds ($92+).
