ELMSFORD—The village is being sued by Irvington to recover costs stemming from a chase of a teen by Elmsford police that resulted in a crash and serious injuries to an Irvington police officer. The lawsuit maintains that the injuries and accident could have been prevented if the Elmsford PD had properly notified Irvington and neighboring police departments about the
hot pursuit.

YONKERS—The city released its most recent list of tax delinquents. And among them: former Police Commissioner Charles Cola, former City Council candidate Michael Rotanelli, and current Mount Vernon Mayor Ernest Davis.

VALHALLA—Nurse’s aides who were laid off from Westchester Medical Center have been protesting at the hospital campus. About 260 aides were let go when the center decided to outsource its nurse’s aide work to a private company.

WHITE PLAINS—Two planes bound for Atlanta were detained about three hours at the Westchester County Airport after someone reported overhearing a possible bomb threat to the flights. A search of both planes turned up nothing.

MAMARONECK—The first mosquitoes to test positive for the West Nile virus in the county this year were found in the town.
