“I’ve tried to record my observations and studies of our rich and unique urban environment first with prints and paintings, and later with the infusion of murals onto and inside buildings in cities throughout the country. My series of murals in Yonkers, completed in the late 1990s, was a major part of my attempt to both honor that city’s history and improve the environment at the same time.”
