The $100,000 Wedding

Ambience: Exquisite & Opulent
Venue: Blue Hill at Stone Barns
Guests: 100

According to Lauren Fremont, Larchmont native and owner of Loli Events in Manhattan, “For a lavish wedding in Westchester, expect to pay about $1,000 per guest once you’ve factored in all expenses except honeymoon and rings.” Fremont, who describes her clients as wanting the best of the best, says her most “go-to” venue is Blue Hill at Stone Barns. Matthew Andersen, director of corporate and private events at Blue Hill, says that regardless of the scope of the wedding, “Most of our guests are first and foremost Stone Barns visitors who are passionate about farm-to-table and the farm’s mission to promote a healthy and sustainable food system.”

Venue Rental: $13,500 (excluding tax and administrative fees)
Renting this highly coveted venue means you can have your ceremony in the courtyard, your cocktail hour in the dooryard garden, and your reception in the private HayLoft space adjacent to the main building.

Ceremony: $3,500
Ceremony fees are included in the site rental and grant you access to the grounds for photography prior to the ceremony and access to the courtyard during the ceremony.

Cocktail & Reception Created by Chef Dan Barber: $39,500 (excluding tax and administrative fees)
Chef Dan Barber and his staff create the cocktail and reception menu comprising at least eight passed hors d’oeuvres, an appetizer, and four plated courses. Everything is made from seasonal ingredients straight from the farm or local markets. Wedding cake or dessert, Champagne, wine pairings, and premium bar service, tables, chairs, linens, table settings, and valet parking are all included.

Five- or Six-Piece Band and DJ: $8,000
Why not have both? Or, opt for a solo instrumentalist or vocalist for your ceremony, and a band for the reception.

Three-Day High-End Wedding Photography Package: $7,500
Hire a photographer to take pictures of everything from the rehearsal dinner to the entire wedding to brunch the next day.

Ceremony Chuppa or Arch and Flowers: $5,000
A chuppa is usually relatively simple, and, according to Yani Makhinson, owner of Chuppas Are Us, “The rental price is never more than $1,000.” In addition to the bridal party’s and parents’ flowers, you’ll want to adorn the chuppa with flowers or a flower garland and have a few well-placed lush floral centerpieces.

Designer Gown & Tux Rental: $6,000
Chances are, if you can afford a $100,000 wedding, you can afford that Monique Lhuillier or Carolina Herrera, but you may want to be understated — or just put most of your budget toward the party — and opt for a $5,000 Hayley Paige.
