Little ones deserve great-looking design—and so do their moms and dads. So if you’ve had your fill of too-cutesy chick and bunny motifs in toothache-inducing color palettes, do check out the more sophisticated collection of children’s quilts designed by Ossining resident Carson Converse. Her fresh new line features four design patterns—square flowers, mid-century triangles, red crosses, and polka dots—in an array of bright hues.
“As an interior designer, I am particularly interested in the overlap of mid-century design and traditional quilts,” says Converse. Her quilts are functional—though they can be displayed as wall hangings with an optional rod sleeve—and 100-percent cotton and machine washable. Stroller or car-seat size (20 by 30 inches) starts at $100; crib size (40 by 50 inches) at $240. Twin-size quilts and coordinating pillows are available and custom designs are welcome. Allow four weeks. For more info or to order: carsonconverse.com.
