Surviving Sandy

Westchester Magazine’s guide on where to both seek and offer assistance in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy.

Life remains trying and hectic for many in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy. Only this weekend did Westchester Magazine regain full capabilities with telephones, Internet, heat, and electricity. Call or stop by our office in Rye, and let us know how you and your loved ones are doing. Here at 2 Clinton Avenue we have power strips for charging your phones and electronic devices, land lines to make calls, and a WiFi signal. We’re open to your suggestions as to how we can improve conditions at this difficult time.

In addition, we are compiling an ongoing list below of Sandy-related assistance, including donation drop-offs, places to shower and recharge electronics, open gas stations, the latest government updates, and more. And for those who wish to help, we’re compiling a list of where and how you can do so.

This list will continue to be updated with information as we receive it. If you have Hurricane Sandy-related information you’d like to share with us, please send it to edit@westchestermagazine.com.
