Get an inside peek into the charm of Rowayton, Connecticut, known for its quaint coastlines and spectacular sea views when five stunning homes of the historic Rowayton Civic Association open their doors for the second “September by the Sea” Rowayton House Tour on Friday, September 23, from 10 am to 2 pm. After picking up tour maps and tickets from Bayley Beach on Roton Avenue, participants will be transported by Land Rover shuttles to the Rowayton Beach Association Boat House—the tour’s starting point. An added feature this year will be the chance to purchase jewelry, home décor, and other unique wares from local artisans in a special designer boutique in one of the tour homes. Tickets go on sale August 23 and can be purchased through the Rowayton Civic Association’s website for $45 in advance ($55 on the day of the tour) or at four select retailers in Westport, Darien, New Canaan, and Rowayton. Boxed lunches to enjoy at Roton Point (the private club adjacent to Bayley Beach) are available for an additional $15, but must be ordered in advance by September 16.
