Report Indicates Westchester Housing Market May Be Improving

According to a report by the Westchester-Putnam Multiple Listing Service this week, while home sales are still down from a year ago, third-quarter sales improved slightly (30%) over the previous quarter.

And while the third-quarter median sales price of $630,000 was still down by 11 percent from last year’s sales, it is an improvement over the second quarter, where the 2009-to-2008 sales comparison was down 16 percent.
