Reader's Digest Files For Bankruptcy

Pleasantville-based Reader’s Digest has filed for Chapter 11, in a “pre-packaged” bankruptcy deal that will allow the company to shed two thirds of its current debt load, while still meeting obligations to its vendors and suppliers.
