R5 White Plains Ex-Pastor Stole Nearly Half Million from His Church

What’s with all the theft lately?! In October alone, we told you about Brooke Astor’s son stealing millions from his mother, a Mount Kisco resident accused of involvement in a $20 million insider trading case, and Wall Street banker-turned-ex-con, James McDermott, stealing from his own mother.

Now, a White Plains ex-pastor, Rev. Patrick Dunne, has pleaded guilty to stealing $432,000 from his own church. And thanks to his plea bargain, he’ll only be serving six months in the county jail, instead of the 15 years at state prison that he would have normally gotten.
