FAVORITE ANTIQUES STORE: I like Nana’s Attic for their very eclectic mix of home accessories, prints, furniture—everything! My Rye neighbor, Twig Antiques, always has a fresh and changing selection. One can find unusual pieces there.
FAVORITE LIGHTING STORE: Hi-Light in Yonkers. The people are very knowledgeable and they have a great selection.
HOT TRENDS FOR 2013: I am seeing a lot of Asian and global influences, brightly colored geometrics in fabrics, wall coverings, rugs, and modern artwork.
OUT-OF-THE-WAY SOURCE FOR GOODS: I own a home in Rhode Island and love going around to the many different antique, consignment, and retail shops along the coast.
MY FRAMING RESOURCE: Another Rye neighbor, Gallery 52. The owner is so creative with framing and has unusual and unique art, antique frames, and gift products.
BIGGEST DESIGN INFLUENCE: New England Coastal design style. I admire the design work of Nate Berkus, Jeff Lewis, and Candice Olson.
FAVORITE WALLPAPER: All grasscloth Thibaut and Harlequin and a fairly new line of wallpaper, PT by J.F. Fabrics Inc.
THE NEW NEUTRALS ARE: Gray and white.
MOST UNUSUAL REQUEST: A customer asked if we could get a bench for the foot of her son’s bed in the shape of a canoe!
PEOPLE WOULD BE SURPRISED TO LEARN THAT I HAVE: A mermaid chandelier (in the Rhode Island home, of course!) and four vintage pinball machines in my home in Westchester.
WHAT DRIVES ME CRAZY: Anything Jonathan Adler, Restoration Hardware, and entire rooms in mid-century design. I like to see a mix and eclectic blend of design styles.
