The IMAX theatre at the Palisades Center will screen one of the most anticipated movies of the year for 72 straight hours beginning late Thursday evening. The sequel to Batman Begins will feature six sequences shot with an IMAX camera, a completely new breakthrough for the cinema. The show, hosted by Kiss FM’s Lenny Green, will include a Temptations Revue with Dennis Edwards; Harold Melvin & the Blue Notes featuring Sharon Paige; Russell Thompkins Jr. & The New Stylistics; Freddie Jackson; Ray Goodman & Brown; and special guests Touch of New York. With the success of Broadway’s Mamma Mia and the impending release of the movie version, tonight’s Arrival show at the Tarrytown Music Hall couldn’t have better timing. The largest touring ABBA show in the world, Arrival sounds nearly identical to the Swedish stars and features 12 musicians—many of whom have toured with the real deal. They’ll be performing favorites such as “Dancing Queen,” “Knowing Me, Knowing You,” and “Gimme, Gimme, Gimme.”

Art and poetry come together at the Neuberger Museum today at Poetry Readings Inspired by Future Tense. Members of the museum’s poetry-writing workshop share verses motivated by pieces from the museum’s exhibit, Future Tense: Reshaping the Landscape. Workshop participants have learned about Ekphrastic poetry, the art of writing in verse form in reaction to a work of visual art, before being challenged to seek out a work of art.
