Bethany Huang. The 11-year-old Cortlandt resident published her first novel, The Eiffel Tower’s Daughter.
Rick Cerrone. The Yorktown High School alum and former media relations director for the Yankees led a fundraiser for $15,000 to benefit the renovation of the Yorktown Teen Center at the town’s Community and Cultural Center.
Westchester County Airport visitors. Developer Louis Cappelli has proposed adding one or two decks to the airport’s parking garage (which he built), to ease the airport’s chronic parking space shortages.
LOSERS
Luis G. Cruz-Colon. The Bronx resident was clocked doing 100 mph(!) on the Sprain Brook Parkway (a 55-mph zone) in Greenburgh by the state police. He was found to be intoxicated with a blood alcohol level of 0.14 percent (0.08% is the legal limit).
Bee-Line bus riders. Those who ride the county buses will now pay the same fare increases as passengers of New York City subways and buses, after county transportation officials changed their mind about setting their own prices. The new fares, which raise the cost of a monthly MetroCard from $80 to $104, go into effect December 30.
Kristin Vangsness. The former skating director at Playland Ice Casino was indicted for allegedly stealing almost $10,000 from the ice casino during a two-year period.
