On Friday, March 18th, ArtsWestchester kicked off its newest exhibit, The Bank and Trust Show, with a reception. The exhibit, conceived by ArtsWestchester CEO Janet T. Langsam to explore the current financial climate through art, was curated by Dara Meyers-Kingsley, former director of Film and Video Collections at the Andy Warhol Foundation. “These artists have their finger on the pulse of what’s being experienced by everyone in society,” Kingsley declared. “I’m interested in art that elucidates what people are feeling.” The show is housed in what was originally the People’s National Bank and Trust Company, now the headquarters of ArtsWestchester in White Plains.
