Want to avoid coming down with yet another “case of the Mondays?” If so, on June 25 escape for a day to Old Oaks Country Club (3100 Purchase Street, Purchase) where the 5th annual Golf and Tennis Classic and “Share the Light” Dinner will be held from 9:30 am- 8 pm. Rub elbows with expected celebrity guests including Matt Lauer and Bryant Gumbel; participate in the highly anticipated $100,000 hole-in-one contest; or place a bid in the silent auction. With a myriad of prizes, ranging from a private Cognac tasting in France to autographed memorabilia from professional golfer Tom Pernice, winners will not be disappointed.
The event’s proceeds support Lighthouse International, an organization dedicated to providing assistance to people of all ages who are overcoming the challenges that are associated with vision loss.
Individual golf tickets are $850 and tennis tickets are $450. A team of four can sign up together for a ticket price of $3250. If you wish to skip the day’s activities and simply partake in the cocktail hour and dinner, tickets can be purchased for $250. Ticket prices include 18 holes of golf or court fees, golf carts, caddies, access to the pro shop, and other amenities such as brunch, cocktails, dinner, the silent auction, and a gift bag.
