R5 Sweets for Your Sweet

What are you planning to buy your sweetheart for Valentine’s Day? The fastest way to the heart is through the stomach—but not if you’re planning on stopping by the local CVS and picking up a cardboard heart-shaped box filled with equally cardboard chocolates. Instead, show your valentine that you really care with these decadent desserts.

This gem of a shop is known for its crave-inducing chocolate barks and, for Valentine’s Day, it’s offering a specialized heart-shaped bark ($15 per half pound). Cocoa also carries several chocolate heart molds with sweet nothings written on them such as “Be Mine,” “I Love You,” or a customized message ($2 to $25). Or, stick with what works: classic chocolate truffles and bonbons ($1.50 to $1.95 each).
