In a search for a cold dessert to add to the offerings at their candy and chocolate shop Imagine Candy (22 Harwood Ct, Scarsdale 914-723-7887; imaginecandy.com), co-owners Donna Halperin and Bill Vogel fell in love with popbar. “We wanted something you couldn’t get in the next town,” says Halperin. “These artisan crafted pops are high quality and fun.”
Imagine carries two varieties at $4 each: the fruit-based, lactose-free popSorbetto (lemon mixed berries, pineapple, strawberry) and popGelato (coconut, coffee, gianduja, hazelnut, mint, vanilla). Both contain no artificial flavorings or high-fructose corn syrup.
Popbars are also sold in at the original shop at 5 Carmine Street in Manhattan.
