Croton Point Beach

Why we like it: Situated on a peninsula on the east shore of the Hudson River, the beach is surrounded by a camping area where those wishing to spend a weekend “away” can bunk up for the night.
Glen Island Park

Why we like it: Maybe the best view from any beach in the county. Located on the same property is the Glen Island Harbour Club which provides excellent food for a gourmet evening meal (and is the home to the 2007 Best of Westchester Party!)
Playland Park

Why we like it: It’s next to Playland amusement park and Playland mini-golf course. What’s not to like?!
Lakeside at Osceola

Fees: $6 for adults and $4 for kids during the week; $10 for adults and $6 for kids weekends.
Why we like it: Besides the 350-foot beach, Lakeside at Osceola features a “game dome,” where visitors can jump on a moon bounce, or shoot a few hoops on the indoor basketball court. We’re also a fan of “Martini Madness” which takes place at 6pm every Thursday.
Byram Beach and Pool

Why we like it: There’s a pool on location and lighted tennis courts so you can work off those extra calories in time for your next trip to the beach. Plus, we love showing off our bods and our cool new swim gear to our wealthy neighbors to the east.
