Yes, that’s a floor lamp and, yes, it’s another marvel brought to the market by award-winning Irish designer Ray Power, whose experiments with lightweight wood veneers keep us in awe. What do you expect from one of the founders of Modernism? George Nelson’s whimsical walk clock looks like, as one website describes, “wood planets dancing around a metallic sun.” The Kirch Implosion Wall Clock has a steel clock core attached to curved wheel spokes with colorful wood ball ends. Award-winning industrial designer Karim Rashid, who gave us the funky Garbo Can and the Oh Chair for Umbra (and whose house in Westchester is up for sale, with or without his super-cool furniture) gives us this hip Links mirror.
