Prophecy Restaurant (15 S Broadway, White Plains 914-285-0900; prophecywhiteplains.com), which originally opened as a nightclub/party venue and pays homage to the look of a medieval castle’s great hall, has a new partner and revamped menu. Besides new à la carte dishes, mostly Italian and Spanish influenced, the restaurant now offers a 14-course chef selected tasting menu paired with wines for $75 plus. Mains to try include homemade pappardelle with a pork shoulder ragù, baby lamb chops, and Atlantic salmon in a roasted garlic sauce. Entrées range from $16 to $27. Mediterranean restaurant Fig & Olive (696 Post Rd, Scarsdale 914-725-2900; figandolive.com), which does not cook with butter but olive oil, introduces new summer menus inspired by the season’s freshest products. The Aperitivo menu (available daily from 4 to 7 pm and after 9 pm) has hors d’oeuvres (complimentary with the purchase of certain $5 to $8 cocktails) such as crudités, bruschette, dips, roasted vegetables, and seasonal focaccia breads. The Cicchetti menu features a selection of cheese, crostini, and mixed olives ($5.50 to $19). The new dinner menu includes items such as chilled cucumber and pink peppercorn soup and grilled branzino with a fig and balsamic glaze. Mains range from $17 to $39. The restaurant is open daily for lunch and dinner; brunch is on the weekends

The owners of Lucky Buddha in Thornwood have opened Buddha (1 & 1A Rye Ridge Rd, Rye Brook 914-481-4651), an Asian fusion restaurant sporting a contemporary décor with hibachi tables and a sushi bar. The restaurants’ menus are nearly identical with only minor differences. Special rolls range from $12 to $15 while traditional hibachi-style dishes are between $14 and $39.
