La Bella Havana (35 Main St, Yonkers 914-920-9777; labellahavana.com) has a new owner—Alex and Stella Cheblal have left to start a catering company—and a new exclusively Cuban menu. New dishes include paella, Cuban sandwiches, baby chicken stuffed with chorizo and mustard greens, slow-roasted pork, and pan-seared skirt steak. Entrées range between $13 and $25. Specialty drinks include a selection of mojitos and sangria. La Bella Havana is open seven days a week for lunch and dinner; Sundays there’s brunch and Thursdays live music

Johnny Rockets (777 White Plains Rd, Eastchester 914-723-3303; johnnyrockets.com), the restaurant chain known for its 1950s American décor, has opened in the space that previously housed Friendly’s. The menu features American classics: hamburgers, Philly cheesesteaks, chilidogs, and 20 different hand-dipped shakes and malts. Johnny Rockets is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner every day

Cookie lovers take note: the new Meme’s Treats (159 Lexington Ave, Mt. Kisco 914-607-1187; memestreats.com) offers freshly baked cookies in flavors such as dark chocolate walnut chunk, dark chocolate espresso, raisinilla, and peanut butter chunk. Their cookies ($1 each), which have no preservatives, artificial ingredients, or transfats, can also be found on the dessert menu at Thyme in Yorktown and T.K. Casquarelli’s in Croton among other local restaurants plus at Turco’s in Yorktown Heights. Cookie platters of 30 ($35.50) or 50 ($57.50) are available, as well as favors for weddings and parties and customized gift baskets.

Meme’s Treats cookies come in flavors like banana oatmeal walnut and white chocolate almond chunk, among others.

Prophecy’s new offerings include a 14-course wine dinner.

Prophecy Restaurant (15 S Broadway, White Plains 914-285-0900; prophecywhiteplains.com), which originally opened as a nightclub/party venue and pays homage to the look of a medieval castle’s great hall, has a new partner and revamped menu. Besides new à la carte dishes, mostly Italian and Spanish influenced, the restaurant now offers a 14-course chef selected tasting menu paired with wines for $75 plus. Mains to try include homemade pappardelle with a pork shoulder ragù, baby lamb chops, and Atlantic salmon in a roasted garlic sauce. Entrées range from $16 to $27. Prophecy is open Tuesday through Saturday for dinner. The new partner, Salvatore Callarame, was once co-owner of the now defunct Baci in Larchmont

Mediterranean restaurant Fig & Olive (696 Post Rd, Scarsdale 914-725-2900; figandolive.com), which does not cook with butter but olive oil, introduces new summer menus inspired by the season’s freshest products. The Aperitivo menu (available daily from 4 to 7 pm and after 9 pm) has hors d’oeuvres (complimentary with the purchase of certain $5 to $8 cocktails) such as crudités, bruschette, dips, roasted vegetables, and seasonal focaccia breads. The Cicchetti menu features a selection of cheese, crostini, and mixed olives ($5.50 to $19). The new dinner menu includes items such as chilled cucumber and pink peppercorn soup and grilled branzino with a fig and balsamic glaze. Mains range from $17 to $39. The restaurant is open daily for lunch and dinner; brunch is on the weekends

Online grocer FreshDirect (866-511-1240; freshdirect.com) launched a line of gourmet vegetarian heat-and-eat meals; among the 11 entrées are falafel and Mediterranean mezze, steamed whole-wheat edamame buns, and Thai cashew and tempeh curry. The owners of Lucky Buddha in Thornwood have opened Buddha (1 & 1A Rye Ridge Rd, Rye Brook 914-481-4651), an Asian fusion restaurant sporting a contemporary décor with hibachi tables and a sushi bar. The restaurants’ menus are nearly identical with only minor differences. Special rolls range from $12 to $15 while traditional hibachi-style dishes are between $14 and $39. Buddha is open for lunch and dinner seven days a week

H-Mart (371 N Central Ave, Hartsdale; hmart.com), the Korean supermarket chain, will be opening late summer/early fall on Central Avenue in the space that once housed Pathmark. The market specializes in fish, fresh produce, and Asian specialty products.
