A visit to Spruce Home & Garden—it has another Westchester location at Mariani Gardens in Armonk and three in Connecticut—offers inspiration aplenty. Much of what’s offered, including furniture ($337-$3,400), clocks ($132-$224), and lighting ($97-$225), is made by either Spruce or Bernhardt Interior Furniture’s USA-based factories. “This gives us complete control,” says store manager Liana Court. A nice local twist: The shop showcases handmade jewelry ($36 and up) and artwork ($250+) purchased or on consignment from neighborhood artists. In-store and at-home design consultations are available.
