Last night at the Glen Island Harbour Club in New Rochelle, The Business Council of Westchester honored five businesses for business excellence at its 10th year anniversary celebration. WCBS Channel 2’s Westchester Bureau Reporter Tony Aiello, a New Rochelle resident, was the emcee for the evening. The 2011 Business Hall of Fame inductees that were honored include: Corporate Citizenship: The Dannon Company, Inc. (County Executive Rob Astorino said that his three children practically live on Dannon yogurt) ; Entrepreneurial Success: WESTMED Medical Group (which took ribbing from a few who quipped that they hope to never have to use its services); Women in Business Success: Dr. Molly Easo Smith, President of Manhattanville College; Family Business Success: Wilson & Son Jewelers (which took some ribbing too with Aiello jesting that he hopes to one day be able to afford one of Wilson’s watches); and… Small Business Success: Westchester Magazine. Westchester Magazine Publisher Ralph A. Martinelli received the award on behalf of the magazine.
