“I have seven beauty rules: (1) Never use anything on your hair or face that you couldn’t find in your garden. We use Aveda because all-natural products are generally better for you than chemicals; (2) For fuller hair, spray your hair upside down and then flip it back up; (3) Always enhance your best feature and camouflage your worst flaw. For example, if you have great eyes, line them; (4) Never pull around your eyes—just dab; rubbing creates wrinkles and stretches the skin; (5) Always use an SPF on your face, lips, neck, and hands; (6) For hair color on a budget, get a face frame of hair color; (7) For fullness and body, don’t use mousse. Wear your hair in a high ponytail, spray with hairspray, then drop and release for outrageous volume.”

“Wash your hair less often to allow the natural oils from your scalp to condition your hair. Don’t wash it every day, but if you’re someone who needs to get your hair wet in the shower, then just rinse and use a little conditioner. Use shampoo every third day.”

“Apply foundation with a brush. I recommend ‘Brush #187’ from MAC. Using a brush is the best way to apply makeup because if you apply foundation with your fingers you’re basically wiping it off as you put it on and sponges also waste a lot because it gets absorbed.”

“Never leave the house without SPF lotion and mascara. Mascara brightens up your face and use SPF lotion for obvious reasons. I use Dual Nature Face Protection with SPF 15 by Aveda.”

“In order to get more length and volume in your hair, invest in some extensions. There is no product on the market that will make your hair as voluminous or thick as hair extensions.”

“Foundation is your skin’s first line of defense against the elements. By wearing foundation, you are protecting the finish of your face.”
