Sisters Stephanie Goldsmith and Marisa Goldsmith wanted a place to sell their own work and those of their many talented friends, so they opened this sweet doll-sized boutique and stocked it with all handmade artisanal gifts, many customizable. Stephanie, a recent college graduate with a degree in fine arts, and Marisa, a Parsons grad who studied design and management, agree that their new venture is very much a family affair. Not only has the property on which the store is located been in their family for four generations, its name is a nod to a song often sung to them by their late grandfather. The wee space is filled with cabinetry, furniture, and décor made from reclaimed and repurposed materials, plus cheery yellow-and-white curtains that they designed and printed themselves. The colorful tableware and home décor includes a noteworthy selection of painted glassware, including wine glasses ($10 to $12); candleholders ($4); serving bowls ($35) and platters ($30); textiles, like hand-sewn placemats ($44 for a set of four); custom wood and wire hangers ($28); and cork coasters tied up in a cute leopard-print ribbon, ready for gifting. Other items include handmade vegan soaps ($7) and beaded and hand-wired jewelry, some featuring precious metals.
