If you like homemade sandwiches, or childhood desserts with a twist, Provisions in Pelham is for you, the New York Times says. The eat-in and take-out cafe, owned by Nannette Conners, has delicious sandwiches such as roast turkey with homemade cranberry sauce on apple-cranberry bread, or high-end prusciutto with roasted pears and goat cheese.
If you have more of a sweet tooth, you might enjoy Conners’ twist on the tried-and-true childhood classic: Hostess. Her additive- and preservative-free version of the cupcakes and twinkies, however, tout rich chocolate cake, Belgian chocolate ganache glaze and a marshmallow cream filling.
