Pound Ridge Author Slapped with Additional Charge for Human Trafficking

In our April 2010 issue, we told you the story of a local author who had been accused of sex slavery and labor trafficking—Westchester’s first-ever case—in the quiet, sleepy town of Pound Ridge. Joseph Yannai, who is 66 years old and married without children, was arrested and charged in March 2009 with one count of first-degree sex abuse and two counts of second-degree labor trafficking; he allegedly luring women to the United States under false pretenses and turned them into sex slaves.

Now, he’s been charged with human trafficking charge in the same case.
