A Healthy Gathering

The Mental Health Association of Westchester’s (MHA) annual benefit, Autumn on the Hudson, drew 175 guests to X2O Xaviars on the Hudson in Yonkers. After a buffet-style dinner prepared by Chef Peter Kelly, Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano gave brief remarks, which were followed by the main awards presentation. The event honored individuals who advocate for the community’s mental health needs, including Georganne Chapin, Mary Beth Morrissey, John B. Allen, and Kathie Collins. Raffle prizes and auction items presented after the awards included dinners at local restaurants, spa treatments, and weekend getaways. Prize-winner Regina Jones generously donated her $3,000 cash prize back to the organization. The $250-per-ticket event raised a total of $120,000 for the MHA, which provides mental health services to 20,000 people annually, helping them lead independent and healthy lives.  // Georgette Yacoub
