Ever tried to find a place offering kosher-for-Passover take-out food? We searched around, and we can tell you unequivocally—gevalt. Most kosher restaurants (and your Aunt Miriam and Uncle Shmuel no doubt already know, there aren’t many here) are either closed, or aren’t specifically offering “kosher-for-Passover” options. But, bless our hearts, we tracked down several Westchester shops ready to cook up a Passover feast—so you don’t have to.

Syon has been offering a kosher Passover menu for more than 45 years. And what a menu: roasted chicken, kugels, choroset, chopped liver, homemade soufflés, carrot tzimmes, homemade brisket, gefilte fish… Order in person or over the phone. And while advance orders are preferred, Syon can sometimes accommodate last-minute requests as well.

Desserts, don’t we know, is not what the Passover meal is known for. But…why not break tradition? Kosher’s cakes are all kosher for Passover. Choose from a honey loaf, sponge loaf, mable loaf, chocolate loaf, nut loaf, or brownies. The deli urges customers to submit their orders as early as possible—you’re not the only one with a sweet tooth.

This nut-free bakery will be offering plenty of goodies, including cookies, macaroons, layer cakes, flourless chocolate tortes, rainbow cakes, bon bons, truffles, cupcakes, and more.
