Charity Ball Honors Two for AIDS Support

The ARCS Harvest of Hope charity gala, held at Whitby Castle in Rye, honored Pleasantville resident Alan Shapiro and Hyde Park, New York, resident Carla Ramos for their support of local residents with HIV/AIDS. Approximately 120 guests attended the $150-per-ticket event.
Shapiro, a partner at Philips Nizer LLC in Manhattan for more than 20 years, recently conducted a food drive at the Woodlands Community Temple in Greenburgh that netted 160 boxes of nonperishable food for the ARCS Westchester pantry.
Philips Nizer LLC, Healthcare News, Holland America, Superior Sounds, FW Interiors Design, Big Girl Baking, B Lounge, and the Beacon Creamery sponsored the event.
