O’Malley’s St. Patrick’s Celebration: On the same day as Mount Kisco’s parade (March 14) and also throughout the day and night on March 17, O’Malley’s will feature traditional Irish favorites ranging from corned beef and cabbage to shepherd’s pie until the kitchen closes at 10 p.m. But even when the food service stops, the party is just beginning. Stay late into the night as bagpipers and other entertainers stop by to keep spirits high.
Andy Cooney’s Forever Irish Tour: Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with the Irish crooner. The evening will feature dinner and a performance. Hear “Galway Bay,” “Danny Boy,” “The Irish Wedding Song,” “Boston Rose,” and other memorable tunes. With George Casey, Ireland’s new “King of Blarney”, Celtic Folk Singer, Kate Purcell, and The Celtic Angels Irish Dancers.
David Munnelly Band: The Towne Crier continues its St. Patrick’s Day celebration with traditional Irish music. Led by multi-award winning button accordion wizard and composer David Munnelly, the band is known on both sides of the Atlantic for their exuberant style of playing traditional music, based in part on the Golden Age of Irish music of the ’20s and ’30s.
The Clancy Tradition: Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with traditional Irish music. The Clancy Tradition’s origins are found in Ireland in the 1950s when the Clancy family of Moy, County Tyrone formed a Ceili Band, playing at Irish country dances and concerts throughout Ireland. Today, their musical tradition is currently being passed to the next generation with The Clancy Tradition: Eugene on guitar and vocals, daughter Rosemary Clancy on fiddle and mandolin, son John Clancy on bass, Pat on piano and accordion, daughter Liadain Clancy singing, and Mike Melanophy on button accordion.
New Irish Cuisine: Peter Kelly’s three-course St. Patrick’s Day menu features green onion and potato soup, filet of Wexford Plaice from the Irish Sea, Uncle Mike’s Green Milk Shake, and more.
The Sporting Paddies: Want to have a “real” Irish feel this St. Patrick’s Day but are stuck in Westchester County? Head down to McLean Ave in Yonkers where you can listen to some traditional Irish music. The Sporting Paddies will be playing while you stuff your face with complimentary corned beef.
