No Higher Taxes, Astorino Vows

Despite recent dips in federal and state funding, County Executive Rob Astorino says he will not raise property taxes in 2012. Thank goodness, because we’re already the highest taxed county in the nation, and all—yikes.

Instead, Astorino suggested unionized county employees could start contributing to their health care costs, to avoid being laid off.
