This recently opened women’s boutique boasts a trendy and eclectic variety of clothing and giftable accessories, from Hamptons-ready straw beach bags handmade in Madagascar to ’70s-style jersey wrap dresses and stone Buddha bracelets (ranging from $10 to $400). Co-owners Dawn Pasacreta and Denise Elias ran a by-appointment fashion-retail business from Elias’ home before expanding into their new downtown storefront, which features a room just for teens’ looks and a selection of high-end men’s body products, like Archipelago Botanicals.

A former fashion designer and interior designer for more than a decade, Laura Michaels has opened a petite studio/shop decorated in “clean slate” shades of white, gold, and silver, with glossy white walls, pure white glass countertops, and white cabinetry adorned with big Lucite pulls. A carefully curated selection of local art and books, and samples of window and wall coverings, fabrics, bedding, lighting, hardware, rugs, and furniture occupy the clean, transitional space, along with hostess gifts and accessories ranging from UK glassware to photography of the Long Island Sound.
