FAVORITE COFFEE TABLE BOOK: Learning to See: Bringing the World Around You Into Your Home by Vicente Wolf.

 

EVERY HOME SHOULD HAVE: A big welcome at the front door, whether it’s fresh flowers when you walk in or candles. (Make sure they have been lit to get that beautiful drippy wax, so your guests know you really use them.) 

 

NON-TRADITIONAL RESOURCE: My local library. I buy old books and remove the covers. You can build a beautiful color story from the bindings. 

MOST PERFECT FIND: I recently used a magnificent painting by local artist Staszek Kotowski that was breathtakingly perfect in a living room. We also installed vintage barn wood on the walls for a “man cave.”

 

BIGGEST DESIGN INFLUENCE: Vicente Wolf. Also, my grandmother, who helped me design my bedroom when I was a little girl, using sheets from Macy’s for pillows and window treatments.

 

UNUSUAL DESIGN FEATURE AT HOME: I have a spiritual corner in my living room.
