Todd Strausser, a 59-year-old author of children’s and young adults’ novels from Larchmont, has written 96 novels, many of which are set in fictionalized versions of Westchester towns. His latest book, Wish You Were Dead, is set in Larchmont—where Strausser has lived since 1990—and has references that would be familiar to students of Mamaroneck High School.
His books sell enough to keep him going—25,000 hard cover copies per book on average—and interestingly enough, some of his books are required reading in German schools.
