While it’s wise to fear cheap sushi, at Kira Sushi, a satisfying meal won’t cost you a mint. Our favorite mid-week fix is Kira’s fully-loaded hand roll combo, 5 fist-sized nori and rice cones jammed with tuna; crispy salmon skin; yellowtail and scallions; and salmon. On a recent visit (and the assortment varies), our fifth roll was Kira’s site-specific Armonk Roll containing crabmeat, avocado and eel. At $18.95, it’s not the cheapest sushi meal going—but then the fish is impeccably fresh, and the portions are generous. And finally, aren’t you sick of asking yourself if you feel lucky as you belly up to the pay-one-price sushi buffet?
