While the JingleNog collection of Christmas tree ornaments are crafted and hand-painted in Poland and Italy, they actually begin life right here in Westchester. Armonk resident Melissa Byrne launched the collection in 2009, after a career developing products for the Lord & Taylor Christmas shop and Christopher Radko. This year, there are more than 200 pieces in the line, each presented in a gift box that includes a printed copy describing its background story. Offerings range from a pear with gold leaves (shown here) and a ribbon-topped topiary to a fanciful array of patchwork stockings, paisley- wrapped presents, dapper snowmen, and playful elves. Glitter, feathers, metallic ribbons, stones, and other sparkly embellishments feature quite prominently in JingleNog designs.
JingleNog ornaments are carried in more than 200 shops across the country and locally at Hickory & Tweed in Armonk, Poundridge Nurseries in Pound Ridge, Mano A Mano in Bronxville, and Troy’s Garden Nursery in Bedford. Most prices fall between $25 and $50. Custom designs available. For more info: jinglenog.com.
