Grants and Donations Give Latin American Arts in Westchester Higher Profile

Artistic and cultural contributions by the Latin American community in Westchester—a community which has grown by nearly 15% since 2000—are now enjoying a higher profile, owing to recent grants and donations. ArtsWestchester, for instance, just received a $25,000 National Endowment for the Arts grant—now being used for a “Latino Arts Initiative.” And the Neuberger Museum of Art recently received $1 million from the estate of Alex Gordon, and is using the money to establish a curator position focusing on art of the Americas.
