In 2014, Northwell Health (previously North Shore-LIJ Health System) formed a partnership with GoHealth Urgent Care in an effort to provide convenient, affordable community-based urgent healthcare. Nearly 20 Northwell Health-GoHealth Urgent Care centers have been established on Long Island, Staten Island and in Queens and Manhattan. In February, centers
were opened in Tarrytown, Yorktown and New Rochelle.
Immediate care for non-emergency illnesses and injuries is provided in a modern, relaxing environment 365 days a year at the Northwell Health-GoHealth Urgent Care centers, which also offer X-ray and laboratory services. Appointments are not necessary at Northwell Health-GoHealth Urgent Care centers. Most major insurance is accepted, and there are affordable pricing options for those without insurance.
Patients who require additional care have easy access to Northwell Health’s expansive network of physicians and specialists, including those at Phelps Memorial Hospital and Northern Westchester Hospital.
