The Junior Board of Family Services of Westchester (FSW) sponsored a Dream Big! event at which 100 guests were treated to the premiere tour of Steiner Sports’ 45,000-square-foot memorabilia warehouse and viewed stadium seats from the old Yankee Stadium, lockers of VIP athletes from Giants Stadium, and memorabilia signed by famous athletes.
Leslie Chang, Scarsdale resident and chair of FSW’s Junior Board, said: “It’s been rewarding for the Junior Board to finance a trip to Washington, DC, for emotionally troubled teens and to help a group of younger children see the ocean for the first time. These are not just field trips but life-changing events.”
To date, the Junior Board has raised more than $27,000 to benefit the children and youth in FSW programs and has distributed about $8,000 in grants to FSW programs.
Posto 22 in New Rochelle provided the catering, and StilltheOne Distillery in Port Chester donated its honey-based liquor, COMB Spirits.
