Wow! I cannot begin to tell you how bad things have gotten. I feel so sluggish, lazy, and tired from work. My clothes don’t fit. I’m stressed out. Life is passing by quickly and I feel as if my body and mind are deteriorating in the process.
Gina: I was feeling the same way. I had been so dedicated to my workout routines in the past, but since we’ve been dating, my work schedule has gotten crazier, and I just fell out of practice. I’m so in need of getting back to where I was.
I knew I had to do something, and was thinking Apogee might be the answer. I showed Gina their, “fit to the core offer” (free membership with scheduled personalized trainings). We thought this might be different than the typical gym campaign, some crazy “get in shape now!” campaign. In retrospect, we were right, this was going to be different and much better.
Gina: I’m the type of person that can leave work, go to the gym, and work out for two hours. Mike never wants to, and would rather go home, put on some music and pour himself a vodka! I’ve tried to get him to come with me, which is crazy frustrating — I don’t want to spend even more time separated — so somewhere I think I figured out that time spent together was a worthy sacrifice.
Gina was so thrilled that I was even thinking about getting back in shape (I guess she thinks I’m getting too fat!); she couldn’t wait to get this first consultation set up. In her mind, we’d not only be doing something good for our bodies, but we would be spending time together as well. I’m not as mushy as to get pumped about, “bonding time,” but she does have a point. If we do this right, and do this together, it will be the best decision that either of us has made in a long time. Please follow along and join us as we start our “Quest for Wellness.”
