Controversial NYC Muslim Center Sues Westchester Firefighter for “Blind Bigotry”

Following a $350 million suit filed by Westchester-based volunteer firefighter Vincent Forras—who alleges that Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf and Park51 have caused “psychological terrorism” by planning the controversial Islamic center near Ground Zero—Rauf and Park51 (the complex that includes the proposed center) have responded with a countersuit. In their suit, which seeks $50,000 in damages and fees, they dismiss Forras’s claims as a stunt rooted in “blind bigotry.”
