She Says: “We submitted this photo to our local newspaper, but this was back when only brides’ photos were featured with wedding announcements, so the society editor published it on another page—over a headline about a bank robbery. I’m sure many readers thought we were in the paper for having robbed a bank, not for getting married!”

She Says: “Right before our ceremony, the synagogue’s custodian pulled Jeff aside and offered him a one-way ticket out of town. Jeff, of course, refused, and we’ve been laughing about it for twenty-five years.”

He Says: “We met at Cornell but didn’t start dating each other until two years after graduation—and quickly hit the fast track. Our first date was on New Year’s Eve, we were engaged on July 1, and we got married on November 8…all of the same year!”
