Cast a Line

We’re not talking Old Man and the Sea, man-vs-nature, eat-for-a-week-on-what-you-catch type of fishing. For that, you’d probably need to venture far beyond County borders. But if you just want to bait a hook and see what you can pull out of our water, there are plenty of fishing spots in Westchester. Technically, you can fish on any County-owned stream or lake so long as it’s not expressly forbidden and you have a New York State fishing license (you can get one by calling 914-995-3080). Some parks, however, have more fishin’ holes than others. If you’re thinking of casting a line this summer, try one of these County parks:
